Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is characterized by a pattern of inattention that leads to a marked impairment in functioning in social, occupational and/or academic settings. ADD sufferers appear distractive, have difficulty in organizing and completing tasks, often misplace their belongings, and avoid activities that require sustained attention.

The treatment of choice for Attention Disorders is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This treatment modality has been found to be very effective and is a relatively short term intervention.
